How should you clean sunbrella fabrics?
Sunbrella fabric
Cleaning removable fabric
Wash by hand
Soak the fabric in a solution of 60 ml of mild soap per 3.8 liters of lukewarm water. Use a sponge or very soft brush to lightly agitate the stain. Then rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow the fabric to air dry.
Washing machine
Some removable covers are machine washable. However, consult with the furniture manufacturer before removing covers, as cushion construction may vary. Close all zippers before washing. Wash in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle with a standard amount of mild washing powder. For stubborn mold, add 235 ml of bleach. Allow fabric to air dry completely.
Clean non-removable fabric
Prepare a solution of 60 ml of mild soap per 3.8 liters of lukewarm water. Use a soft brush to clean and allow the cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow the fabric to air dry.
Mold stains
Mold does not grow easily on Sunbrella fabrics, but mold can grow on dirt and other foreign substances that have not been removed from the fabric. Remove mold:
- Prepare a solution of 240 ml of bleach and 60 ml of mild soap per 3.8 liters of water.
- Spray onto entire surfaces and allow to soak into fabric for up to 15 minutes.
- Clean the entire surface with a sponge, clean towel or very soft brush.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Let air dry.
In the case of stubborn mold, more bleach can be used.
It is recommended to clean the entire surface of the fabric to avoid water stains.
