How do I maintain olefin
Clean non-removable olefin dust
Olefin is a strong fabric with good water-repellent properties. Moreover, Olefin scores well on color fastness and the fabric is dirt resistant. If you do get stains, you can always clean them with textile cleaner :
- Remove the worst dirt from the surface with a soft brush.
- Mix 1 cap to 1 liter of water and stir well.
- Wash the surface with a sponge or soft brush and then dry with a clean chamois leather and/or microfiber cloth.
- In case of heavy pollution, repeat the treatment or increase the dosage.
It is recommended to clean the entire surface of the fabric to avoid water stains.
Cleaning removable fabric
Wash by hand
Soak the fabric in a solution of 60 ml of mild soap per 3.8 liters of lukewarm water. Use a sponge or very soft brush to lightly agitate the stain. Then rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow the fabric to air dry.
Washing machine
Some removable covers are machine washable. However, consult with the furniture manufacturer before removing covers, as cushion construction may vary. Close all zippers before washing. Wash in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle with a standard amount of mild washing powder. Allow fabric to air dry completely.
