The cooking plates of the OFYR cooking appliances slope slightly downwards towards the centre. When the hotplates are heated, the center will sink a little further down. As a result, around foods such as tomatoes, but also very fatty foods, can roll or slide to the center of the hob and fall into the fire. The OFYR Food Bumper has been developed to avoid this. The raised steel ring stops the food but still offers the possibility to scrape the plate clean with the spatula and push the scrapings under the ring into the fire.
